Dennis Que scored 10 of his 25 points at the opening frame as Pier One started the game hot leading to a 22-15 edge at the end of the first quarter. However, Eldie Cabahug refused to buckle and got all his 12 points in the third quarter along with his 2 triples that gave Echo a 19-10 run in the third quarter. Kester Gajudo got out of the game early in the third quarter because of cramps after scoring 16 points in the first half.

US REMNANTS would lead the first half of the game with only a point, but sharpshooter Chad Canares exploded in the 3rd quarter, making 12 points in the quarter alone, along with his 3-4 three point shooting that gave PIER ONE a comfortable lead.

Both teams being young contenders in the league, showed intense basketball with exchanging leads that led to a very exciting game. Ronald Uy of US REMNANTS carried his team on his shoulders during the final seconds of the fourth quarter, where he scored a crucial shot that forced the game to overtime.. in the extra time, kia motors cut short when carl gajudo unable to sink in crucial free throws that became the game upset. US REMNANTS won with the final score; 72-71.
