Eco blocks, a much younger team, showed that they are not intimidated to play against a champion team caliber where they hold on through out the game bringing the game to overtime. Golwithdberry would display their veterans, taking over the extra period and grabbing the win with the final score of 54-49.

- Gaisano Capital would come back from last game's lost against Goldberry where they would grab a convincing 22 point lead against Nature Spring. Jermaine Carrillo led their team with 19 points, Edmund Gaisano and Paulo Candari added 16 points each ending the game with a final score of 76-54.

-Defending champion Batch 2005 bringing its new team name, Gaisano Capital-Savers Choice showed their dominance on the opening game of the 15th season of SHABA, winning against Shell V.Rama. Gaisano Savers Choice picked up their game at the last quarter of the game where they showed their full court man to man defense that converted a 18-4 rally run that secured a convincing lead against Shell V.Rama, giving them the final score of 46-33. Eldy Cabahug and Adrian Lao would lead their team with 15 points each on their name.

-Gaisano Capital being forfeited last year because of a disqualification of players would show a new set of players playing against veteran team Goldberry Suites. Both teams played a close fight ending the first half with a score of 36-34. But former MVP Dave Lim would out play Gaisano's post game, leading his team with 14 points.Gaisano Capital was out rebounded by a much bigger Goldberry team that gave them a disadvantage on the 2nd half of the game.

-Both teams would play a close fight exchanging leads ending each quarter with a game summary of 15/17-7/15-17/6-16/5. A+ Strutures run and gun pace of game, gave them the advantage in the open court and converted most of their shots on the fastbreak. Bigman Kevin Villamor of Natures Spring would dominate the post game where he would lead his team with 19 points.
SHABA opens this SUNDAY, August 29
The 15th SHABA season is set to open this Sunday, August 29, 2010, 1:00PM at the new SHS-Ateneo de Cebu campus at Canduman, Mandaue City. SHABA has a new president this year in the name of Mr. Regan King. The SHABA Board of Directors is composed on Mr. Jack Huang, Mr. Perry Lim, Mr. Kenneth Lee, Marcelino Co, Mr. Ricky Tio, Mr. Giovanni Young, and Mr. Kenneth Onglatco. Immediate past president Mr. Philip Maynard Ortega is still on board. Likewise, Mr. Bobby "Bobby Knight" Inoferio will still be manning as Commissioner of this season. SHABA remains as the longest running Alumni Basketball Association here in Cebu. Everyone is invited to come and join the festivities this Sunday.
